It’s finally officially fall! While it may be a few more weeks until we actually feel the change of season in Texas, I’ve been itching to incorporate fall accents into my home. With the addition of our new Arhaus sectional, I decided to switch up my decor this year by bringing in some warm colors and more natural autumn vibes.
While I love investing in quality decor that will ornament my home year round, I tend to choose go inexpensive when it comes to seasonal items. Most of this season’s budget-friendly fall accents I found at Target, Hobby Lobby, and Amazon.
1. Plush fall accents
To infuse my home with autumnal charm, I incorporate cozy elements like throw pillows, blankets, and thematic rugs. With a larger sectional, I added more decorative pillows using natural fabrics like burlap, linen, and cotton for table runners, pillow covers, and curtains.
To make seasonal pillowcase changes easy, I invested in higher quality pillows and affordable covers. This streamlines storage during seasonal transitions. Swapping out cases and neatly storing the old ones ensures they’re ready for the next year. For visual balance, I chose two solid colors for larger 20-inch pillows and lively accents for smaller 18-inch and lumbar pillows.

2. Warm and versatile tablescape
I love a well-set table with cozy fall decor, but in the chaos of everyday life with a little one, it’s not practical. So, I opt for a simpler approach, focusing on timeless elements like classic candlesticks, plush pumpkins, and a striking centerpiece.
I believe in investing in high-quality decor pieces and adding affordable seasonal accents for freshness. For instance, my year-round Anthropologie candlesticks allow me to change tapered candles with the seasons. My Pottery Barn vase, my husband’s favorite, is the crown jewel of my collection. To add autumnal vibrancy, I’ve included five burgundy branches from Hobby Lobby.

3. Bring the natural world inside
Welcome autumn’s cozy feel by adding natural fall elements like leaves, pumpkins, wheat stalks, acorns, and branches to your decor. These bring in the season’s colors and textures, making your space warm and inviting.
For a practical and lasting choice, think about using faux natural materials in your fall decor. They give you flexibility in textures and colors, letting you capture autumn’s essence without concerns about perishables. Whether you go all faux or mix real and artificial elements, your home can still feel warm and charming all season long. I chose

As we officially embrace fall, I’m excited to infuse my Texas home with cozy autumn accents. With our new Arhaus sectional as the backdrop, I’m taking a fresh approach this year, combining quality year-round decor with budget-friendly seasonal items. From plush accents to a simplified tablescape and the infusion of natural elements, I’ve struck the perfect balance. I hope you find inspiration in the warmth and charm of fall decor as we move into this beautiful season.
